A week on VOD
How every week runs.
- 01
The week opens on a fixed day
A new curriculum week unlocks on schedule, so the course keeps a shared rhythm even at your own hours.
- 02
Watch the classes as recordings
The same classes the live cohorts take, on any device, with rewind and playback speed.
- 03
Submit daily assignments
Reading and listening are scored the moment you submit; writing and speaking come back with detailed per-criterion feedback.
- 04
Close the week with a checkpoint
A weekend checkpoint shows exactly what moved and what to hit next week.
The 8-week plan, class by class.
The same 8-week plan the live cohorts run, watched as recordings: Reading and Listening, Writing, and Speaking each week, with every class recorded and every assignment scored the moment you submit.
Diagnosis and the core frames
True/False/Not Given and strict-word-limit sentence completion; the four listening parts (form, map, conversation, lecture), predicting each blank before the audio.
The 4-paragraph Task 1 chart frame (the overview sentence that decides Band 5.5 vs 7) and the Task 2 opinion essay with your position stated in paragraph 1.
Part 1 extended answers, the Part 2 cue card (hook, body, reflection), and the /f/-/p/, /θ/-/s/, /v/-/b/ sounds.
Weekend mock Sunday: full baseline mock, scored to set your starting band.
Task 2 discussion and argument language
True/False/Not Given and multiple choice at building speed; Part 3 academic conversation, tracking who says what by discourse markers.
The Task 2 discussion essay (both views plus your position), joined by the 'outweighs' pivot sentence. Fence-sitting caps you at Band 5.5.
Parts 1 to 3 on fresh prompts, your first live speaking turns in the group.
Weekend mock Sunday: retake the Week 1 paper (unscored) to see what moved.

Is this course for you?
Tier One on VOD is the live program's curriculum, assignments and grading, with the classes as recordings. Nobody is in the room with you, so it suits people who can run their own week, and it still asks for about two hours of focused study a day.
This is you if
- Your hours are irregular: shifts, travel, a job that eats evenings. You need the class to wait for you.
- You can sit down and study on your own once someone tells you exactly what to do that day.
- You want the same feedback the live students get: every writing and speaking piece scored on the criteria the moment you submit.
- You want to rewind. A recording you can stop, replay and speed up beats a class you can only attend once.
This is not you if
- You need a teacher watching you to actually open the dashboard.
- You want to ask questions in real time and get answered in the same breath.
- You are looking for a lecture to watch, not assignments to submit every day.
If that sounds like you, the same course runs live, three classes a week with Lora Teacher: see the live version of Tier One.
